Originally from Japan, Tsukamoto got his musical start on the banjo as a teenager, and in 2000 moved to the US to study guitar at Berklee College of Music in Boston. These days, he\u2019s renowned not only for his masterful technical ability on the six-string, but also for his sublime compositions. Tsukamoto\u2019s expansive and exploratory approach to music is on full display in this three-song session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First up are a pair of DADGAD pieces: the graceful \u201cFrom Coast to Coast,\u201d and \u201cGemini Bridge,\u201d on which Tsukamato uses a looper pedal to create a sonic experience inspired by the Moab desert. The third piece, \u201cNo Matter How Far,\u201d is in Orkney tuning, C G D G C D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tsukamoto plays a custom handmade model from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.notefornote.net\">Yen Guitars<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn how Tsukamoto employs his looper <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acousticguitar.com\/how-to-use-a-looper-on-acoustic-guitar\/\">in this lesson<\/a><\/strong>.
